This is the second DVD release from Cherry Red of The Men They Couldn’t Hang. The band formed in 1984 and were soon going down a storm on the Folk circuit they were eventually signed to Demon Records by Elvis Costello. As each release heightened their profile the band went on to record for several labels including MCA and Silvertone and became a major draw on the live circuit. The band split in 1991 but reformed a few years later to begin touring and recording again. “”Never Born To Follow”” features a full show from the band’s 1998 UK tour filmed in Newcastle and contains Independent Chart top ten hits “”Ironmasters”” and “”The Green Fields Of France””.
