A Beatles double bill. ‘The Beatles: On the Road’ is a collection of archive footage of the Fab Four. Included are clips of their first US tour, promotional appearances with other artists, and some more reflective moments when the band start to break up. ‘The Beatles: Down Under’ is a compilation of footage from the Beatles’ June 1964 tour of Australia and New Zealand. Included are interviews with John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison, but not Ringo Starr, who was indisposed at the time and replaced by Jimmy Nichol.

On The Road: A compilation of footage from the Beatles’ tours to the U.S. and Japan promotional appearances with other artists press conferences and more considered thoughts as the band began to break up. Down Under: The outbreak of Beatlemania in Australia and New Zealand in June 1964 was arguably without equal in the world and this programme at this often overlooked chapter in the Beatles story. Please note that there is no original Beatles music on this DVD.
